Which is exactly what I said. It's typical.
You are expecting these folks to even know exactly what you are talking about. They don't. I doubt Athena Gerardo knows a lot about MLs.
As long as you live there and go to court to fight it. Otherwise, a huge expense and headache for the risk. And, the "email" doesn't keep the dude with the badge from writing you up and letting the judge sort it out. You lose--you got yourself a game conviction.
Fortunately, our game dept has...
It's near impossible to go "wrong" with those 500 series spotters.
But, OP you seem to have gotten something you are satisfied with.
Find a good bino that better fits what you are planning to do and you're set. With what you have, 8x seems to make the most sense but 10x would certainly work.
Most any relatively modern ML with external percussion lock can be converted to 209 for anyone who wants to go that route. I put an enclosed 209 nipple on my old (70's) TC Renegade .50 cal and it shoots saboted .44s very nicely over 209. I've shot 50s out of it with 209 too, but it's mostly just...
Barrel came from PR Bullets, but no idea where he gets them. Had no issue with it at all. Issue was breaking loose the factory barrel nut. Cake once you finally get that sucker to break loose.
Don't overlook the Kowa 500 series spotters. There's a detailed review on here by one of the men behind the curtain. It's really about all the spotter most normal people need. I'm really glad I got one. Still primarily use the Meopta 15 x 56 and 8 x 42 binos tho.
The only thing I know of is they went from S M L to sized waists. But, there may be other changes. They are great pants. I like their Brion too if I just want a light 5 pocket (jeans) style. Caught some of those on closeout at REI recently and think I paid $38 a pair.
If you can use one in CO, I'd build out a smokeless front loader using a Savage rifle of choice. I put my smokepoles behind me once I went that route.
I put mine on the Axis II rifle, but that was mainly because it was what I wanted anyway. You could get away with a cheaper model for sure...
Also in NWFL with perennially cold feet. I like Lathrop's insulated mountain hunter and use it here too in the rut/muzzleloader if we get some 20 degree weather and I'm stand hunting.
I have poor circulation in my extremities which can make the hands and feet a real challenge if you are...
I've got several Leupolds and have never had an issue--none of them are dialers, however, nor would I buy that product from them or many/most other manufacturers. I don't dial scopes, but I'd sure pop for one of the known names that builds to do that and doesn't "budget build" it if I was...
It sounds crazy, but thank me later.

Gotta use a good tuna tho. I'll get the brand we like and edit.
Genova Yellowfin tuna in olive oil.
Nice bird!!
Legs and thighs, I like to pressure cook then smoke.
And don't forget to pluck that...
RANGER POINT: larger loop lever, loading gate, trigger (if you need it).
Hated the factory 1894 loop and felt like it was going to cut my hand. I really like the RP loop. Size is just about right. I could really dig it if it was between that and my Brockman loop on my 1895. But, for the cost...
