I seriously doubt Ol Jerome and JoePa can stomach coming even remotely close to what the Sith Lord of the FED--Darth Volcker---did back in the late 70s early 80s. If they have the sack to even get rates to 8% I'll be shocked. Which just means the pain will drag on as they yap about "soft...
No matter how hard you try, some lemmings comes along and screw it up! Sounds like you are in a pretty enviable position tho, to anyone with much common sense. Good luck! Maybe the descent will see your "values" and taxes back down.
I do agree everyone has different eyes and some of it boils down to personal preference and/or bias. It is very helpful to try some of the models out. A smart consumer is not easily convinced that "top end" (size and/or price) is what they need for success, however.
An optics "arsenal"--sure...
At this point, most major markets appear to be oversold and now we're at the beginnings of the "backside" of all that demand. It'll likely get ugly, maybe really ugly in some markets.
The recent interest rate increases have added several hundreds of dollars to the monthly nut on the "average...
Course--it's genius. You ran the numbers on what the dumba$$e$ they negotiated with took. States often grant utilities some form of eminent domain power. Why in the world would you use that power and have to pay out money to various landowners (and their attorney fees) when the government is...
They've killed them, just not in those numbers in one spot. My understanding is they were in the "fatten up" lots. No place to go in there. Terrible heat wave and once they started going-- it's dominoes.
That's not to say we don't have REAL problems now, with more coming. Just ask parents who...
Wife and I loved feeding french fries to the striper schools that would mob the clam shack on tide change at K'bunk River bridge. Had friends with an old family home on coastal cove up near Pemaquid Point lighthouse. Always loved stopping to see them.
Beautiful state that managed to keep from...
Me too--barndominium. They are looking hard at quashing them here, to my understanding. I'd imagine some of the trad homebuilders are "quietly" behind that.
Add a bivy to your arsenal. You get an enclosure in the tent which will add a few degrees to your sleep system. And, you can use it alone as an emergency or overnight spike out shelter. MLD has some nice options.
A Silky pocket saw is a good choice.
Fawn bleat call and fawn deke too, if legal where you are.
I would like to know if you use it and if it works. We can't hunt them here, but I've had them come to it.
If it ended, you'd put a whole market segment that really didn't exist much 25 years or so ago out of business. You are a consumer. You must consume. Just do it! (Can I say that or do I owe Nike money?)
I got away from Danner when the model I used to turkey hunt went to overseas production. I couldn't get a pair thru a season then, and I tried two of them. I went to Lathrop brand boots and Naglev combat for a lot of what I do. All of them are holding up well.
Second this one if you go with a "two man". There's a video somewhere (I think on the SO site) of one being pitched with an added "beak" on a door. I'd look into that. Looked like it gave a good bit of extra usable space.

See second video.
Hope it turned out well, OP. I like tung oil. Multiple coats and it gets it pretty darn waterproof. Tung only enhances the wood you put it on. So, if your stock is not particularly "nice" wood, you'll end up with a comparable not "nice" finished stock. But it will be waterproof...
We're growing massive solar fields here with more to come. All with any size to them now are on private property, as far as I know. But, it results in clearcut land with zero recreational potential (unless you like to look at solar panels).
