The politics won't ever change. It took almost a decade to wander through the wolf bs to get a season. All we will see is more forest locked down for habitat. Grizzlies would present nothing more than an extremely useful tool in green group litigation.
I would like to think Idaho will resist. But I think we all know our elected stewards love money. Lately the Idaho legislature has been getting their grimy fingers in IFG business.
After a couple of years of NR's having to purchase a license to enter the draw and not drawing, they are going to want something in return. A point system for NR's will be in place within 5 years.
We eat a lot of wild game and usually buy a half beef from my cousin. We also put up huge amounts of fruits and berries up every summer. We are pretty spoiled in that regard, good healthy choices out in the garage everyday.
My wife and I talk about that frequently. We are detached form folks that live in small apartments, that don't have fridge or freezer space for fresh or frozen meats or veggies. I've got to think that a lot of these people don't do a lot of meal planning. Not necessarily because of laziness but...
They aren't going to take away outfitters ability to buy tags for clients. It will be interesting to see what they come up with, that was one of the sticking issues with the proposed changes last winter.
