While it does suck that SPI and the FS close properties there is still a giant fire danger threat constantly looming in CA. Drought has been bad for a while now and you add in careless people/arson/no control burns/no thinning of many forests and it’s a real problem. I agree it now seems like...
Type 7 tags a lot of the time are only valid in certain areas of the unit, on private land only, different dates etc.
Like Bob stated look at the regs for the unit and it will list the type 7 regulations.
I would also agree on the guided hunt you probably don’t need one. Your guide should have one and hopefully will let you use/look through it on your hunt also. After that you can decide if you “need one” for your hunting needs. That said I use a Swarovski ATS and will almost always pack it on...
These have been a go to for me also. Bobo are great also and sold at my local grocery store.
L&L cookie with a packet of Peanut butter is a solid breakfast option for me also. I’m a big fan of the Snickerdoodle cookie!
Rich is a very smart guy and I’d be inclined to trust his judgment on the cases. Only way to really tell is size and fire a case over and over and see how many firings you get from it.
One off Max is essentially the same as having say 1 or 2 points. You’re only in the random pool for most hunts but hey someone has to draw!
Nothing for me this year either. Looks like A zone and a bear tag for sure.
The Peloton 240 has been my go to mid layer for a while now.
Will you be testing any of the strong fleece? The 210 seems to possibly be a little better for milder mid layer use.
I will never use GoHunt but think I’ll have to start buying a subscription just to see all their recommended units and odds. So I know where “not” to apply!
Congrats to everyone who drew this year. Had a 70% chance at our deer tag and wiffed. There’s always next year!
