Same thought about the photos, I was not sure if they were super low profile or not. I'm sure a kanga pocket could be added pretty easily though. Might have a project for momma!
I ran the original Ambient jacket on my elk hunt this year and I loved it. I hardly took it off except for mid day in the sun. It was perfect for early morning climbs. Check out euro optic and mountain archery - I got mine for around 50% off over there.
Scary possibility - I’m trying to decide how long I want to bank my deer points. Sitting at 4 and really want a high country early rifle tag. Burned 3 elk points this season and got my first bull!
Figured I’d add another chapter in here for those interested. I failed to mention some pre-trip drama that occurred 4 days prior to our departure from Indiana. I was doing some realistic range shooting on a Thursday evening at home by moving my target and shooting positions around at various...
I shot my first elk in the Gunnison National Forest this year during archery. I know of at least a few GMUs in that area that are OTC for rifle. I was in some pretty high country during my hunt and would have to expect the elk move way out of there by 2nd rifle but not totally sure.
Appreciate all the kind words! I am still reliving the hunt and can't wait to get back out there. If anyone has links to hunt stories of their own please drop a link!

Didn't quite make sense to us either lol. The bed was stuffed full of gear and no matter which way we had that head the cap door or bed gate wouldn't shut. Maybe part of me wanted to have show and tell on the drive home too ;)
Mine didn't fit in the truck bed (good problem to have!) so we stuffed the coolers and gear in the bed/cap and strapped the antlers up to the hitch and haul. Second pic is once we got back home and headed to the processor.
