A slat wall can usually hold more than pegboard but is going to cost more as well. There are metal inserts you can put in them to help hold more weight too.
The gun specific slat wall stuff is way more expensive, of course. But you can buy some cool hooks, etc to hold your stuff.
I'd suggest and myself carry a 9mm if not in Grizzly/Brown country. I prefer my G19 or 17 but if you are comfortable with your P320 go with it. If going 10mm, I'd go G20 before G40, and I've had both. A G20 with RMR is a very fun to shoot.
I usually keep a few pair of leather gloves. A thin pair that I'd rather work in gets most chores but will get a hole in the fingers after a while. Also keep a thick leather pair to use when called for. Both will last a good while. While I like Mechanix gloves, they don't tend to last long for me...
I mostly run two stage triggers in my ARs but have some single stage as well. To me, it depends on what I primarily built that particular AR for to which trigger I put in it. That said, my dedicated hunting ARs tend to have single stage triggers in them.
First I ever hunted with was a Remington 742 in 30-06. It had the mandatory 3x9 in see through rings.
First I ever bought was a Ruger in 270. It ended up in a B&C stock and with a Timney before it shot well enough for me to be satisfied.
Never done this before but here goes ...new guy here from MO. Always wanted, but never really got opportunities to hunt out west like I'd dreamed of. Kids and sports will do that to you I guess. Getting to the point where I can start looking and getting ready so here I am.
