I’m between the razor hd ($849) and conquest hd ($699) also. 10x42 size. Both on sale currently.
I have been happy with my monarch 5’s so either of these should be an upgrade. Razors are a few ounces lighter which I like. Going to burn some club points up.
I do like the warranty of vortex...
I bought a Nemo Disco 15 last year. Used it for a week in sept in CO backpack elk hunt with temps as low as about 25° with long sleeve wool T-shirt/ long John’s and was comfortable. I have done about 5 more nights in it down to 35°. I’m a side sleeper, 5’11” & 195 so same size. I’m happy with...
I started at 380 last year on the elk combo list and was notified the last week of the season also. They must have gave at least 100 people the option knowing practically none would bite with such little time. I gave up on the idea by Aug last summer.
I went from 380 to 292 to 267 on the elk combo.
I could be wrong but with only moving 25 spots this second wave tells me there will be less than 25 tags available. Sure there will be a handful who refund their tag before General season, but I think the chance of me getting a tag is extremely...
Kenetreks for me for late October elk through end of December MN whitetail in tree stands.
I’ve got 1-2 pairs of darn toughs and thought they were just ok, but might have to try one of their other styles based on all the above posts.
I was in the same situation. I’ve run an eberlestock X2 with rifle scabbard for a few years elk hunting. I really like the pack and love the scabbard. It’s a solid pack and I can’t believe I haven’t tore the stitching out of it yet for how much I have loaded it down.
It’s just not really...
RG 5000 for me.
Truly amazing to have a forum like this with the owners/designers and testers of pack who have provided us with so much helpful info. I can’t say I’ve seen anything like it with any other product ever.
Way to go EXO!
You guys knocked it out of the park!
I would tell you to get in as good of physical shape as possible. If you think you’re in good shape, get in better shape with the right type of exercise. It will keep you in the hunt longer. Get your pack and put a bunch of miles on with it weighted down as part of that.
