I don’t have any helpful info to add but as a fellow California hunter I really hope you post up follow ups of how the hunts go!
Congrats and goodluck on both tags!
You probably won’t get as much speed but myself and quite a few that I know have had really good luck with 4831SC and load development was very easy to dial in with little work. The first load I tried was with 54 grains same as my buddys and I didn’t even try any other powder charges or seating...
I use a dryer sheet, and haven’t had an issue if that doesn’t work for you, my company has used anti static tinsel on some of our conveyors that cause static issues and it works. I assume you could use something like that around the edge of your work table.it’s pretty cheap
I would reach out to mountain tactical on this and see if they can provide new springs, when I installed mine I backed it out all the way and have had no issues. Sounds like you may have a bad batch of springs and if that’s the case others might too and should be reported to the manufacture so...
Congrats on the progress and sticking with it, there’s a lot of people who can sit on the sideline and criticize or call it a fad but most wouldn’t be able to stick to it like you are. Keep the updates coming, I need to quit making excuses and see how my body reacts to this.
Entrance hole on an elk from a 160 accubond out of a 28 Nosler about 250-300 yards if I remember correctly. Bullet exited elk was dead in its feet fell over after 30 seconds
It’s really actually very very simple, If that is really your concern which I highly
Doubt it is, call your local DFW officer. And explain that you would you plan on going on a MTN lion hunt and what he recommends you do to prevent the illusion that you’re actually out shed hunting. This also...
I would vote the 6.5 prc I only see the brass availability getting better based on popularity compared to 300wsm. But I may be biased I am putting together basically the same thing just waiting on my HNT26 chassis to show up.
Congrats on the bucks and on drawing the tags. Great write up, glad to hear you guys got enough weather to get the deer down. I’ve heard of guys getting that tag and not getting the weather.
Sounds like you guys had a blast and got to share it with your family.
Sounds familiar The kids they had working at the reno sheep show either last year or year before barely would talk to me. I think there were 3 younger “kids” working the booth and they acted like I was inconveniencing them by asking to see one of the rifles. 2 of them stayed sitting down on...
Just my opinion but after the last 2 years of struggling to find ammo for mine I would only recommend if you reload. And if you do buy brass ahead of time and stock up.
Just curious why not post the outfitter publicly might help save someone else from being in the same situation down the road. I’m sure you would have had second thoughts about booking with him if you had read a post like yours about said outfitter.
I have 2 kimbers both are post MOA guarantee, a Hunter in 6.5 creedmor have only shot one load that is Barnes factory and it is under moa. I also have a mountain ascent in 300wsm out of 4 factory loads the 150 Barnes and 190 ABLR shot under 1” moa and that rifle is more accurate than I am...
