I bought a pair a US made Danners in the mid 90's and sold them (great condition) around 15 years later for what I paid for them. They were a great boot at one time.
It's a tough question to answer after 37 years of hunting. I grew up being able to shoot critters off my back porch and now I can't even shoot my bow at home. A properties I've hunted for 30 years has been shrunk by development over those years make them less fun for me.

It's clearly a money grab. I spend every weekend in the state forest somewhere and some large areas void of people most of the time. It's being blamed on increased use and demand since Covid.

FWIW I use fleece for layering under my Fanatic. More recent years a heated vest also.
Several years ago I ran into this and I rigged a piece of 2 mil plastic to shelter the deer while I butchered it. Bring a big enough piece so you have room to be as creative as needed.
I'm just about ready to cut the connector off and solder on one to fit a bigger battery but I'll wait to see how you make out. A longer cord would be nice because then the battery could be placed in the cargo pocket of your pants making battery swaps much easier.
