No way!! That's some serious sleuthing. Well done. I need to get in on the action over at the refuge - I 'm on there but not that active.
Gonna screen shot it this time for black friday sales this year...
You don't get value out of a business by buying one. You develop value by building one.
If you can't or won't leave SLC for six years, then you are not ready for it or not dedicated enough to your dream.
+1 on comments of turning your hobby into a business. No better way to ruin a great...
I've seen it (the website). Looked really cool. Sorry to hear that they couldn't get it off the ground - seems like an awesome concept. I'd probably pay what I pay other print rags (grays, FFG) if they could get at least four issues out a year.
Related/unrelated. one of the coolest magazines...
It's bills like this - that turn hunting into nothing more than an industry for the well connected - that make one wonder, "at what point do I become a poacher?"
Damn! Those look fantastic! On my wish list for when I hit the lotto!
Maybe if I get of your neck of the woods I'll treat myself a exercise the 'pickup in person' option.
Very cool set.
Its not the machines. Any of the machines used by any of the suppliers can cut to a better spec that any of us could measure. It a function of the specified tolerance, the design of the part and the builder's (Tikka in this case) willingness to absorb the cost impact to hold that tolerance on...
There's a whole lotta threads out there on trucks, ATV's, UTV's, tires, trailers, campers, chains, plane's and boats. I'm undecided myself whether I'd prefer to see those separated from the General forum, because sometimes I like to run across those topics in the whole pile of stuff that comes...
A second vote for sawbill. More for the convenience of not having to go all the way to Ely and the congestion it brings. They are also the closest to my favorite and only put in I've used. PM me for details.
I started on a license 20 years ago, and didn't finish it. At the time, I felt like I couldn't afford to fly regularly enough to be safe.
I've got the itch big time again. Rather than jump back into it, I've been putting together a fairly decent flight sim to try to relearn as much as I can...
I have a 96 4runner in the SR5 package,3.4 v6. Its a solid vehicle. I paid under 4K for about 5 years ago with 175k on it and It has 232k now. I expect I'll get it to 300k, but I wouldn't want to put much money in one over 200k.
I've added an external trans cooler and changed the suspension...
I love jeeps.
I still have an 82 CJ8. First jeep and last to be sold, was an 86 CJ7. Also had an 84 CJ7 with a 350 and th350. And two CJ2A's.
I think it depend's on how you camp/hunt and how much crap you need. With only two people, I've hauled plenty of shit up in the mountains - camping...
I've always told young people considering a home purchase "never buy a house you can't piss off the front porch of".
They rarely listen, but wish they had 10-15 years down the line...
Never had an account for all the reasons we see now. I have always preferred forums like this, and email. Old school, I know. Also never had instagram, twitter, myspace, whatever.
Used to do it all, an in a way, I still do, but mostly just peg it to the S&P500 these days. Don't have time in my life to worry investments constantly.
Not sure I could garden well enough to feed myself. If game were sufficient, I'd probably be OK. Would need to be in a place with plentiful supply of wood and sufficient food for livestock (pasture). Yeah, I could probably make it, if my gardening game were better. Maybe.
