New with tags still on, never used. 6' , left zipper, microfiber shell. Stuff sack and storage bag included. A +5 degree bag that weighs less than 2.5lbs. $500 tyd. Pay pal.
I've tried three different 10's and still have one; have had a 41 mag for decades; had a 480 the last few years.
For carrying, one handed shooting, and multiple shots the 10 semi auto, well there's no comparison from the others.
480 recoil is stout, but between a full house 44 load and the...
I've had a lefty kevlar stocked Remington 700 in 338 win since the early 90's. Shoots great, great to carry, never weighed it but I think it listed as 6 1/2 lbs without scope. Only downside is they were listed as holding 3 shells in the magazine but mine (and others I know about in 338 win) only...
It can be absolutely miserable weather there. Have always used pvc coated stuff like Grundens Petris. Also brought a Yukon jacket once and wore for a bit and went back to my Grundens. I have a SEAK jacket but I wouldn't take that either.
Seems like yesterday but a gal was killed and partially eaten by wolves in a remote village here 9 years ago.

I had one ghosting me once, within 5-15 yards for maybe 10 minutes. He just seemed...
Play the wind of course.
Sometimes you just have to be patient and wait for them to move into a stalkable spot.
If you can ascertain which direction they're going for that last little bit, get there first and wait for them.
The 454. You said you can shoot it well, and ammo is easy to come by.
If I was to get a 44 it would be a S&W 69. If a 454, a Ruger Toklat.
Depending on the situation, I carry either a 10mm, a 41mag, or 480 Ruger.
I settled on a S & W 1006. Great gun if you can find one.
Owned a Sig 220 SA/DA in 10mm for awhile. No issues with it, I just didn't take to it.
I bought a modified glock 20 and had the same issues as others above.
I would wear waders or wading pants for the boat ride. Don't like to be in a boat much and not be in a pair.
Since its a boat drop off, weight is probably not an issue. So I'd go with some light poly or merino bottoms, light pants of some sort, rain pants, and I use synthetic overpants for when...
I don't.
Not as convenient, but I imagine one of the fish or game processors would allow it for a small fee, or if you had them process at least some of your meat.
Beginning of May is on the early side of things.
Anyone who would transport you out of Ninilchik would be taking you for a long boat ride, say across Cook Inlet. Or trailering their boat and launching from Homer.
I'd lean towards getting dropped off on the other side of Kachemak Bay by a...
