It shoots like every other Tikka I’ve owned. 1.5 moa 10-shot groups, and “0.5 moa 3-shot groups all day long, if I do my part”.
No accuracy issues with this one.
Interesting.
The way range finders are able to spit out an angle compensated range, which is essentially the horizontal distance to target, and is the span at which gravity is pulling perpendicular to the bullet…is they measure the angle of the rangefinder, cosine that angle and multiply the...
Have you seen the tracking error with these in the past? I haven’t noticed that with mine, granted I’ve not tested for it specifically and only shoot 600 yards and in, but it’s been spot on.
Am I understanding this correctly that your total Testosterone went from 490 to 888 in 2.5 months just from Carnivore? If so, this has my attention. Could you also elaborate on what the Thyroid measurements really mean? Thanks Zap!
+1 for the 162 ELD-M
You’re really splitting hairs between the M and X but for what it’s worth, the M has worked great for me on elk and moose out of the 08.
By no means do I mean to smear your build plan, just wish I had known that detail up front when I had gone through it. It was a mighty 7-08 without a brake, shooting 162 ELDMs at 2750 fps. Definitely serviceable, but If I was spending coin on a stock, I wanted to increase function, not decrease...
Just one guys opinion having owned an Altitude, I would cancel that order if I was in your shoes. The Altitude made muzzle jump much more pronounced than the factory Tikka stock. I ended up selling mine and putting it back in a factory stock. The Rokstock does look promising from a functionality...
I too went from a Beartooth to the Sky 5900 and couldn’t be happier. The XCurve rides so well and the horseshoe zip with top load is kickass. I’ve done 10 days with the 5900 and likely could’ve added another day of food.
Stockys sells direct to Canada too, so hopefully there’s an option to have them involved in the shipping arena if UM won’t. If it ends up being a broker deal with Prophet River, let’s get as many Canucks involved as possible and make it worth their while. Cheaper for us maybe too?
