Back in the my Army days when Goretex boots first starting coming out, guys would polish them with Kiwi (uniform standards) they would notice the boots would start to leak after using Kiwi on them for awhile. Not sure if something in the polish broke down the goretex membrane/seams, or if it was...
Dang, just pegged half the guys here.
Just kidding, but I wonder what the old guys that came before us where complaining about when they saw us? Even in the Army, it was always the old guys complaining about the newbies. Then you retire and its those newbies from years ago (now the old guys)...
Weber Smoky Mountain cooker for ribs, shoulders, and brisket. Perfect every time.
Weber kettle grill for whole chicken and pork loins.
I have used a neighbors electric smoker and would not use one of those again.
Friend has a large Backwoods smoker that would probably hold 30 racks of...
Back in my Army days we used simple ORS (oral rehydration salts) packets that you get in the baby food section. Those things worked the charm on long range movements. The Medics would get them through the supply system and issue them out.
I personally don't care for flavored water so they work...
Yeah, both my son and I did not draw. 700 tags and I think there were 80,000 entries.
You can find the recording on you tube and fast forward to the different sections to see if you were drawn.
But I already have my Idaho tag and waiting to see I we get drawn for Colorado 1st Rifle.
From behind the rifle, I don't think my braked 338 is any louder then my unbraked 30-06. Bystanders probably notice it more.
I do notice a difference when shooting my 223 with a brake. I need to double up on hearing protection for that one.
I just started shooting with a brake. I put one on a AR-15 and while the 223 does not have much of a recoil, the brake keeps the sight on target throughout the shot so I can see the impact much like you can with a 22 rimfire. I also have a 338 Win mag that came with a brake. I still get a little...
Elk hunted the past two years, but have yet to harvest one. Hopefully this will be the year.
Getting packed into the wilderness on horseback was high on my bucket list, and my son and I are doing it this year.
The rest of my bucket list is:
Maryland Sitka < possibly this year
Antelope <...
Cafe Duran in the yellow bag. Wife always brings back the ground. I just got back from Panama and brought some Duran whole bean coffee back. Also brought back a bag of coffee from Cherique Panama which is over close to Costa Rico. Interestingly, that is where the Indian name Cherokee comes from...
I also took advantage of that sale and got the jacket and pants. Going to have to switch out the XL jacket for XXL, but the pants fits perfect. Finally cargo pockets where I can use them, more towards the front. Can't wait to put these to use this fall in Colorado, and of course here in Kentucky.
So let me get this straight, What wasn't said is actually what was said? Sorry, but that is pure speculation and kind of goes back to the whole "your either with us or against us mentality"
Yes, like it or not, they will protect our 2A, but like it or not, their approach is not helping them...
I am really liking it. Shooting at paper at 100 yards, the details on the targets are sharper then through my other scopes. Still developing loads so I have yet to fire it at father distances.
