    308 w/155 gr TMKs?

If your gun shoots the 168 well its not worth working up another load. The 175tmk just works for a wide range of terminal speeds and has a BC that makes wind calls doable. I havn't worked up a 168 load because there was no need.

    Kowa 774 to 55s?

Depends on your use. My older 554 lets me ID racks clearly to 2 miles. Theres no way I would hunt solo without that in the top pocket of the pack. Sometimes I wonder about individual variation within optics, especially when some say they have x optic that is blurry at x distance. Ability to...

    Kowa 774 to 55s?

I have the 554 and its awesome but my ATS65 25-50 is the bomb for digiscope/range work and valley floor work. I wont sell the ats. I wouldnt leave home without the 554. Maybe if I tried the ATC or new kowa 55?

    Tikka .308 questions

M+ mag will let you load a little longer and get extra powder capacity. TMK is a long bullet and can like being .02 off. M+ feeds better than a LA.

This. Especially for 308 a supressor combines well to make shooting more relaxing and reduce subconscious flinch.

Extra wide sleeping bag… am I crazy?

The thing with a wide bag is its more comfy in summer, but the real advantage is room for a lofting down jacket when the temps really go down.

    Kowa 553 or Swaro ats25-50x65

I run both. Both get used. Easier view for ATS but I wouldn't pack it if for a long trip. Kowa gets the job done for less oz. Pick the one that suits your use. Ill use the ATS for range work, digiscoping work closer to the truck or longer range scoping. If I use the kowa it does all the...

Swarovski ATC vs. ATS vs. Kowa 553…Updated 4/26/23!

I think you just highlighted the real reason you carry a spotter. Confirming what you are looking at. The 553/4 gets the job done but not with a comfortable wide FOV. New Kowa 66 for you?

    Ultralight Tripod Options

Ended up using slik634 with one leg extension and Oaka ballhead. 24.6 oz all up including head. Functions as a solid sitting pod. Also good for 65mm spotter and shooting rest (sliding - not fixed). Quick to deploy. Didnt break the bank as already had all components. 3.5oz penaly over...

Which Bino size do you Prefer?

EL8.5x42 is the only allrounder that hasn't left me wanting. If you carried two then SFL 8x40 and NL 12x42 would be my pick but thats not the question.
