I’ve had the 2 part vax. I can’t recall anything horrible about it, maybe like a flu shot?
My dad has had the old vaccine, the new vaccine, and has had shingles 3 times in 5 years. The last time was after the 2 part vaccine. Crazy. It puts him on his ass.
The tax is fine if that’s all it takes to make them happy. But in the name of all things sacred just let us fill out a 4473 at the store and take it home!!!!!

I don’t know about the chassis you are referring to. I know that the mdt LSS I have is nice, but it’s heavy and it’s cold. Maybe there are other ones that are lighter.
Get the lefty Tikka of caliber choice and have the barrel cut and threaded. Easy peasy. 6.5cm, 7-08 are great choices and the suppressor is the way. Also they have a lefty 8 twist 22-250 which would be fantastic for the heavies. Unless her mom is tiny I suspect she will quickly grow into the...
30-338 WM, 28” Wilson barrel. 212ELDX at 2850 which is pretty wimpy in today’s .30 magnum world. Had it to 800, not even a challenge to ring a 10” gong. Somewhere north of 14lbs. Brass is everywhere, resize 338 WM or 7mm RM. Way too much fun with a suppressor. 30cal magnums are just cool.
Hanlon’s Razor. Haha.
Me, a friend of mine and his son were on a well known and well used lookout one day in W CO. Another guy came along. We just shared the spot. Both parties ended up killing elk. It was kinda cool actually.
Sorry to the hive in advance. I don’t have pictures to prove...
The Bordens have excellent service. Family owned and operated. Jim has been helpful to me on many occasions, fielding questions that were probably more irritating than not. I’m sure the other you mentioned is fine as well.
They put one in Juneau AK for whatever reason. It’s OK I guess but I never really understood why. Apparently the mall space lease is staggering. They have pared down the staff some, used to be more help than customers in there. I can’t imagine it’s profitable.
I say that what your friend experienced is one of those things that happen with projectiles that defy logic and I don’t discount his experience. I’ve seen a cow elk killed at 30 yards with a .270 shooting a 130gr Barnes TTSX that opened beautifully and got caught by the spine. By all accounts...
I have a gunsmith friend that was a pretty active competitor. The competitions were at times more important than turning out product. This is a factor in the amount of waiting one is supposed to endure. For me, I got sick of it and learned how to do my own work.
