    CO Leftover List is up

There are 58 3-4 point tags for deer, and 36 for elk according to the draw stats this year. Could also be my perception of the list, as 2nd season and muzzy won't fit my schedule so I'm looking past those. Also, some of the 0-1 point units I would like to hunt again aren't really showing up...

    CO Leftover List is up

Understood, but it still seems like there are very few 3 and 4 point tags on there. Lots of 0 and 1 point tags.

    CO Leftover List is up

Yes. Not very many high point tags turned in this year.

    CO Leftover List is up

I believe they have to clear out your current tag first, or the system won't sell you another tag (assuming they're both List A tags). So, you do face the risk of losing the tag you turned in and also not getting the tag you hoped for if it's gone.

The list is disappointing this year as compared to the past.....

    Colorado Draw Recap Report Anomalies

cnelk's option #2 is also correct, as a possible reason for it showing up that way in the stats.

    Colorado Draw Recap Report Anomalies

What you wrote is correct though. The group is "bundled" and has one point level. It's the lowest in the group. If four guys go together and 3 of them have 10, 9 and 7 points, and the 4th has zero, that group application has zero points.

    Colorado Draw Recap Report Anomalies

I've always heard that's because of group applications, like you described. The unsuccessful folks with 3 points were grouped with someone with 0 points and as a group they were unsuccessful.

Hows the moisture been in CO this summer?

That's a big question, as it's going to vary statewide. In general, we had a ridiculous amount of snow this winter and it was winter conditions hiking up until early July in most places. (4-6 weeks behind schedule) Still a good amount of snow up high on north facing slopes, some may stay...

What music do you listen to?

I'm all over the board. Tool, Rush, Alice in Chains, Sevendust, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Waylon, 80s country, all the classic rock from the 60s-80s, even a little rap or classical mixed in from time to time. Don't like too many new bands but Shinedown is my new favorite. My Sirius radio is...

Anybody thinking about 2019 CO archery Elk?

I'll throw my name in the hat on this thread. I've had some trouble over the last few years lining up trips with some of my buddies.....kids, work, other tags, life, etc. So I'm on the lookout for a partner that has the same desire and vacation time to elk hunt. I live in CO and plan to hunt...

    Dieting.....

Great thread, many inspiring stories here! I'm 5'10". In 2011 I was 240, by 2013 I was 185. I lost the weight by tracking calories RELIGIOUSLY. Every single bite, mark it down. The calorie tracker I use (Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople) lays out your fat, carb and protein intake goals. I...

Your thoughts on my future camping setup

One factor is I don't like my ATV when I have a buddy with me on a trip, so I've been considering getting a two seater OHV, something like a Polaris RZR. I'd have to go with the dual axle pop up toy hauler so I'd have a bigger payload capacity up front. But yeah, the longer pop-up then...

I saw those and they're pretty sweet, but my family of 5 isn't sleeping inside that very well! It would be great strictly for solo trips though.

Your thoughts on my future camping setup

I'm looking more at something like this: https://www.thegreatoutdoorsrv.com/rockwood/282txr The smaller ones that are basically a tent on top of a trailer wouldn't fit my need of having it work for the family as well. We have three little kids and the Rockwood in the link could easily sleep...

    The one-rifle hunter

I have a .308 Winchester Model 88. It was my grandpa's rifle, that's what I started deer hunting with and never needed to buy anything else. All scratched up at this point from 60 years of hunting, not sure if I want to re-finish it or just leave it as is. Sort of cool to think that some of...
