WY and CO archery antelope is an option, but I hate the idea of sitting in a blind in 100 degrees....
I think December will be NE and KS whitetail hunting. I've hunted the December late cow season in CO, that's an option too.
Archery turkey in NE opens March 25th, spring break is March 16-20...
I recently got divorced (don't say you're sorry to hear that, life is much better now than before) and it leaves me with an interesting predicament for 2020. Due to our parenting schedule, in even years I have the kids for all of the holidays in the fall. That's all fine and dandy as I love...
We split the meat evenly, with exceptions made (like if someone already has a full freezer or something like that). It makes it sting less when you have to give up a day of hunting to help your buddy pack one out if you're getting half of the meat. One rule I like is that the shooter gets to...
Here's my favorite one:
Dice and brown 3-4 shallots in olive oil
Add 2 T white wine vinegar and reduce
Once reduced, kill the heat and throw in a container of crumbled blue cheese and let it melt
Throw some diced chives on top of that mixture
Grill the elk steaks
With every bite of elk, grab...
Don't know where in CO you live, but ever since Weld Werks brewing started distributing to Denver I can't resist swinging by the liquor store every week when their new releases come out. I currently have several cases of beer in the garage I need to get to at some point. I have more of a...
I assume you're referencing the Joe Rogan podcast? I love listening to the Sober October podcasts and hearing about their workout challenges. I always thought it would be fun to do something like that with my buddies.
No, I'm not participating as nothing will taste better than an IPA after elk...
A lot of self-righteous folks on here throwing stones from their glass houses. If you don't like it, you don't need to buy any more products from him.
Rinella has done a lot of good for hunting. The way I see it, the bigger his brand gets the more he can do. Besides that, there's no problem...
I have a LEM 5lb and agree with the above statements about getting a bigger one. I do 1-2 animals per year, elk being the biggest and I think a 15lb would work fine for me. It just gets annoying having to constantly repack it with meat. LEM makes good products though.
I was able to snag a unit 551 archery deer tag off the leftover list this afternoon. I know the area well, so I don't have any of the typical "honeyhole" questions. :)
The question I do have for folks is this - With the heavy snowfall and late snow pack this year, what observations have you...
I'm very curious about that as well. I was first in line at a DPW office, and by 9:03 we had already looked at deer, antelope and elk tags and all were gone. Also looked at a tag with 81 left at 9:10 and those were gone. Either people were in early or the demand was crazy high this year.
As...
I think the system worked better as well. I went in person and was first in line, by 9:03 we had already looked at choices for deer, elk and antelope but unfortunately they were all gone by then. system seemed to work faster, but the overwhelming demand still screwed me....
I have no idea what happened. He swiped my license, then entered my codes, one was available, he selected it and ran my CC. Charge went through, then no license. There is nothing new in my file on the DPW site, so I couldn't tell you what I purchased. He was not terribly familiar with the...
That's funny, it didn't work this way for me this morning. I was there in person, one of the tags I wanted was available, he had me pay for it then it said no quota left. Now I paid for it and don't have a tag. Maybe he did something wrong, but either way I have to find a way to get this...
There are 58 tags that took 3-4 points to draw, not 58 tags on the leftover list. Yes, the few 3-4 point tags that are on the leftover list will be gone within 2 minutes of the sale starting.
