Meateater Booze???

Every now and then I pop on over to meateater to see what’s up. I see they are sending a boat around with all their favorite Yeti ambassadors, and today, I see a strange header....will meateater brand be THE booze you use to celebrate your public land bull?

Inquiring minds want to know....

And sometimes those business decisions harm the image/reputation of the company and end up diluting it's message.

IMO, they've started to "jump the shark", but they'll probably do fine $$$ wise.

Chernin Group is money focused. I've seen some of the other media brands they've acquired and built up. They're smart in what they do, whether you agree with that or not. They're working to expand MeatEater's reach into new segments while holding onto the original fan base as best they can. I don't love all the additions that MeatEater is putting out, but they wouldn't be doing it if they were losing money.

No doubt that they're smart businessmen/women and will make $. But this thread is evidence that they're offending their base somewhat.

Then again, rokslide is probably a pretty tiny slice/subculture of the demographic that they'd like to target so I completely understand why they'd do it.

BUT...a little bit ago he said how he was “thinking about starting to drink again.” An odd thing to say...or not...
