What Cindy said + shoot in RAW mode and use an editor like lightroom to adjust your pics to your liking. I have the original RX100, it's a great camera. I tend to use video mode more than pics though.
When I lived there I would go out every couple of years and hike around. I was out there in 2012 and took allot of pics. Saw tons of sheep but only a few mule deer. Here a few pics.
It's supposed to be one of the best tags in the state. You have the possibility of to much snow with lack of access some years. The Southwest bear tag is a good one also. Lots of bears and lots of country to hunt. Its an OTC tag.
Nothin for me. Went in as the group leader with 6 pts for the West Blues. One of the other guys had 6 also and the 3rd guy said he had 2 points but must have had 0 or 1 pt. That's alright because another friend put in for West Blues and drew so I will still get to go and video.
My 2 cents. Get a job that you truly enjoy in a location that has all your outdoor activities close by. It's nice to be able to hunt after work, weekends and on vacation. The closer you are the more time you get to spend doing it. I lived in Minnesota for 7 years when I was younger. Work was...
Here is the pics of my setup. I used a 1 1/2"x2" threaded adapter and cut the threads off. The I epoxied the 58mm Vortex adapter ring to it. I also made one by epoxying 2 threaded adapters together and ne end slides over the eyepiece on the scope.
I know a guy that has been using them for years. He works for the city and collects the ones the snow plows hit. He has a cheap military tent and a mailbox stove in 4 or 5 drainages where he hunts in Montana. He just stays at the nearest one. I think he stores the tent in sealed buckets.
I have the Leupold and a Razor 85. I've had the Leupold for for at least 15 years and really like it because of the eye relief and the 12x on the low end (I wear glasses). No other spotter I've looked thru comes close in eye relief. Most of the time I'm using the Razor at 40x or less because of...
I like the Droid/backcountry navigator combo also. Purchase Accu Terra, it has state, private, Blm, national forest etc. for the entire US. I bought an extended battery for mine. I'm sure I could get a week out of it.
I'm sitting at 17 bulls all with archery gear. That includes a 9 year dry streak when I tried with a recurve but just couldn't get it done. Some day I'll do it! I just enjoy the time off work and being out there with friends. I also enjoy taking pics and vids and digiscoping and setting up trail...
