Anybody know of a 6.6 L5P Duramax buy back?

I have a 19 and no complaints, but if they want to trade me for a 22 I would not complain. After some research looks like there may be some truth to it, https://www.duramaxforum.com/threads/gm-to-repurchase-silverado-hd-sierra-hd-units-due-to-duramax-diesel-engine-quality-issue.1021288/

Talk me into or out of kowa spotter, 554 vs 773 vs 883

Most definitely. The 77's are good, but the 88's are better with the Fluorite glass.

    Kowa vs Swaro

I have the 99S and at the time I received it KOWA had not released a SOC for them so I wrapped the scope in Vet wrap. It protects the scope very well. KOWA has since released the new style SOC for the 99S but I prefer the old style SOC so I think for right now the vet tape will stay on. I also...

Who actually spots game regularly with a spotting scope?

When in Montana I use my binos to spot the does then start the real search with the spotting scope. Because in late November you want to be in your scope as soon as it gets light to try and find those big ones in their bed. Or during the mid-day when they are taking their nap. You need something...

    Spotting Scope pocket help.

So I up graded to the KOWA 99S after somebody borrowed my 884 out of my pickup. I carried the 884 in a Kifaru spotting scope pocket but the 99S is to long for the Kifaru. So after searching the internet I found the Eberlestock batwing. It is long enough to hold the 99S. But the only way to carry...

Career vs Hobbies - how to balance them

When I had my so called 8-5 jobs after getting out of farming I would tell my employers during the interview that my family comes first and when I want or need to do something with and for them I will. If that is going to be a problem with working for you I need to know now so as not to waste...

Kowa tsn-664m with 20x60 zoom eyepiece or vortex razor 22x45x65mm

Just making suggestions. Sometimes when you ask a question you get answers that might make you look a little harder or in a different direction. When you ask for help you usually get it and sometimes you get more than you ask for.

    Sold 99 11,5' Cabover Camper Oregon 97760

Those are really nice campers. It should have a rubber roof. And in the picture with the back door there is an oval door underneath it. On the camper we had that door opens and there is a sliding drawer that went under the camper. It was long enough to hold 8' fishing poles. They are a stout...

    Floorless + 60-70 mph winds?

I can tell you this last thanksgiving week I was hunting in central MT. Had our 10x14 floored wall tent setup and the wind blew hard a couple nights. Had my pickup blocking the wind. The last night we were there the wind blew so hard that it was coming in under the pickup and I was sleeping on a...

Kowa tsn-664m with 20x60 zoom eyepiece or vortex razor 22x45x65mm

Never looked through an Athalon, but I have owned a gen 1 80 razor, 88 KOWA, and now a 99 KOWA. The glass is far superior in the KOWA's than the Razors. And you are correct, if those are the only choices then I still chose the 66 KOWA.

Stick with the KOWA. And I would go to the 77.

    Cabelas woolmate or something else

I regularly hike about 10-12 miles a day in mine during Montana hunting season. I have never noticed the weight part of it. Just the fact that I can keep warm.

    Cabelas woolmate or something else

Woolimate is awesome stuff. I don't know if you can still get the good Cabelas stuff anymore off the rack, but that is my go to when the temps go below zero. Good insulation and wind blockage. The only other I would recommend is the Cabelas Whitetail line, it also works well in the below...

    Digiscope adapter?

RSather has it right. You get 3 or 4 adapters ( Don't remember right now without digging through my stuff), they are not that big of deal changing. Unscrew the collar and pull the compression ring out and replace it with the one you are changing to.

Novagrade all the way. Little expensive, but once you have it that is all you will ever need.
