    Savage Lightweight Storm .308 mags

A lot of the pics online, even on savages website, show the old style mags. Im almost positive they use axis mags, same as the ultralites. Little push button on the front right? Good luck finding any. If you do, let me know! Been looking for a couple myself

    Wolf hunting newb panhandle

Dont suppose anybody here is in unit 1, that can tell me current snow / road conditions in the general area between priest lake and myrtle creek? Thinking about heading over for a few days in a week or so. May or may not get the chance, work schedule is not set in stone right now.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Sure it would. Is there any 6mm stamped brass that a guy shooting 223 could neck down? Asking for a friend of course....

    Bear Calling?

They come in so readily to hand calls, why lug around an ecaller?

    Colorado releases first 5 wolves

3169 deer taken by hunters in my region of washington last year. 0 antlerless. Wolves alone are easily killing that many here, and cougars far more. And theyre killing does and fawns, pregnant does, and killing them in winter range, killing them every day, year round, any deer elk or moose...

    Lever Action Hunters

What are your modifications? This is my dark series 444. Cerakoted, laminate stock and kydex cheek piece, rpp trigger, loading gate, quick lever takedown screw, 1-6 scope and a banish 46 suppressor. Great gun in the timber.

    Lever Action Hunters

Dont have very many with my guns in the pics but heres a few. Couple with an old (1949 mfg?) Marlin .30-30 and some with a remlin 444

Savage 110 Carbon Tactical 6.5 PRC

Gun he linked has a 22" barrel. The carbon predator has an 18" barrel, and smaller mag

Savage 110 Carbon Tactical 6.5 PRC

Yeah but on the same token, itd be a pretty niche situation where a guy would want a 10 rnd mag in a treestand or blind
  11. Huckleberry Hound

Savage 110 Carbon Tactical 6.5 PRC

I dont see the appeal of that for a hunting rifle over an ultralite. Just the same thing but with a big protruding 10 round mag, big bolt knob and more weight.

    Lever gun advice wanted

I have a marlin 357 that i really never do anything with. Just kinda bought it on a whim. Have an old .30-30 that i used 1 season and its been a safe queen since because its too old and nice i dont want to rough it up. But my .444 puts more meat in the freezer than any of my other guns. If...

    Elevated Trail Cam placement?

I use slate river ez aim mounts. Carry a few screw in steps in my pack. Cams mounted 10 ft or so are rarely noticed by people. These 2 assholes are a perfect example. I had a cam at eye level on this trail, and decided to hang another up high watching it. Thats my camera in assfaces hand...

    Suppressor Opinion: Meh, It’s Ok

Im not opposed to it, i just never manage. I guess if a guys hunting style is to glass n shoot or spot n stalk, putting in earplugs is possible. I do a lot of very close range stuff. When you call a bear or something in and dont see it until <20yrds, youre not getting earplugs in. Not a...

    Ammo price increase?

Ive got a ton of ammo im not using in my current guns. And it irritates me but i know, if shit got bad, id be glad i have it. Cause yeah, 1.5+ moa ammo beats chucking rocks

    Suppressed Rifle Build

I know rokslide is tikka country, but ive always had great luck with savages. This one here seems to check all your boxes. But the 18" 6.5cm, screw your can on, and be done with it. Figured somebody should mention a non tikka option...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Just putting up one more and ill stop. I know this thread is about performace on game, but figured some guys might appreciate seeing results on paper from the black hills factory ammo. Ill call myself a very average shooter. Went out and shot a 5 round group at 200, aiming at the orange...

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

So i wasnt letting the gun cool between shots, but after the first group i let the gun cool for a while. Second 5 round group here. Im thinking the one flyer was probably operator error. Seems to be good ammo, and negligible poi shift from my 64tgk ammo. Was a little concerned that my 8...

    Savage 110 ultralite FBT stock

I looked at fbts website, they dont have savage stocks listed. I emailed them and asked if theyd be available and be compatible with bottom bolt release, specifically the savage ultralite. I believe that was over a week ago and i got no response
