Jealous! Been putting in as a resident for 11 years... still haven't had the pleasure of pulling a buck tag. Hoping this is the year! Thanks for sharing
I know they ain't cheap, but the best I have found are the hestra ergo grip czone gloves. They are like nothing else I have owned. Amazing! Would highly recommend.
While urbanization and sprawl are issues... I firmly believe disease prevalence and chronic shedders are the most current and direct threats that herd faces.
I can dig around. He was a good one, the drop adds a ton of horn length. Mass (horn diameter/d1-4) and drop (curl diameter) are what set the big boys apart. I find sheep to be really tough to judge once they are 170 ish plus. Unless I have two rams literally standing side by side to each...
S34 has good genetics, but with the numbers taken each year the age classes just aren't there. There are several units that aren't far away that have had some really special rams taken in the last few years. I wouldn't burn points on s34 imho
Have never seen much benefit from wearing camo. That and scent control/wind direction seem to matter very little with elk/mule deer. But that is just my observation. As others have said Ridgelines are your enemy.

Interesting. We all have our own opinions and such, it makes things more fun. I couldn't be in a more different boat. Just can't think of a single hunting situation where I need turrets. That being said I get more range time than most and spend too much time in the field. Longest shot I...
Sounds like a lemon. Never been behind an rs5, but have yet to ever lose zero on my rs2. Maybe luck, but it has sure been good to me. I generally avoid turrets on any hunting rig. I can't see the point of the added weight and clumsy nature of turrets.
