I order a long load of red fir/tamarack mix and supplement with white fir and pine from my property for the shop. The truck load usually lasts 3 years. I just don’t have the time to hunt for firewood anymore, it is a big time commitment to get 10+ cords to fill the wood shed.
How is the recoil on the 7mm08? I found the same rifle local and considering it for a youth hunter's first rifle? The caliber in general seems appropriate for a youth, but I have always felt more recoil with a synthetic stock vs wood.
I would take a serious look at your finances beforehand and be sure you can afford the housing costs (rental or buying). The area has all the recreation that you speak of, but be sure you will have the funds available to partake. I would say you need to be making 6 figures at a minimum to live...
The shot from the vet is quick and painless. Their last memory is their best friend saying their last words looking them in the eyes. You won’t get that with a bullet.
Well you have me stomped. I use the same trimmer, use the same process and have never seen that. I am not sure how the pilot head could create that ring? Maybe you need to buy a different pilot head? Maybe try a smaller caliber that uses one of the other heads and see if it happens as well?
I've got the land covered. I am just thinking along the lines of a safety net. If you wanted a rainy day fund/safety net that you can actually see and touch, which would be the best?
Question for the experts on here. Thoughts on acquiring gold or silver as a safety net. It’s constantly pushed on talk radio, but I am skeptical of ads in general. I guess at the end of the day, what would be better to keep in a safe at home, cash or precious metal, or both?
