Great discussion. I'm in a similar boat in that I want to get to the point of being able to fill my freezer each year from hunting. New to the whole thing but taking it one step at a time. I got a pack on order, gathering supplies and information with the short term goal of backpacking and...
That seems about right.
$700 US = $910 CAD
Alberta tax is 5% which works out to around $45.
My order is:
$1000 US = $1300 CAD
Ontario tax is 13% which works out to $170 which is a significant chunk of change.
I am going to put in my order to Kifaru. I am in Ontario, Canada. Wondering if I should ship to my address or use one of those US border mailboxes. My order is coming at around $1000 US + $66 shipping. Ontario tax is 13% which I would probably have to pay either way. Not sure if there would be...

Any1 have pics of what a black looks like? Specifically, I am looking at the AMR. The one pic they have on the store website looks quite light in value. I like it, but wouldn't want to order and get something much darker.
All pics i've seen of the EMR2 seem to show multiple long straps hanging off it. Has anyone who has an EMR2 found a way to keep the pack neat, with any excess lengths tucked away somehow?
If you don't mind sharing, what type of things did they say that made you go with the AMR? I am kind of in the same boat right now, trying to make a decision.
