I've got 2 sets of Grabbers in use. One set going on 2 years, the other set have been on for two months. Pretty quite on the pavement, they flat work on gravel and off road. These are 10 ply rating.
JB bore past on a swab -it bore mop works good to polish dies. Brass brush with a patch wrapped around it works good to. Spin it with a drill and it doesn't take long if the die isn't in to bad of shape.
Have a barrel on order for a 6cm build. Talking to people who have used this, they say plan on 2000 rounds if loaded to max velocity . I ordered a 7.5 twist barrel, planning on running 90 to 107 grain bullets. Going to be using this rifle for predators. Next step will be trying to find a set of...
First thing is check your bolt face for pitting and give it a good cleaning. Have the lot number for the cartridges when you call Barnes. If the bolt is pitted I would be letting them know this as well. Rifle should be fine, Take it to a smith if your not comfortable inspecting it. The ejector...
We are planning to try the Federal 175 Terminal Ascent in 308 and 30-06 when they are available again. If they are accurate shooting @ 2750 in the 308, should be good to 600 yards.
If your cross hair is above the bore sight mark, turn the elevation knob up and watch till it is on the mark. Medium rings are the height of the rings, scope should be a one inch tube.
All good info on the video. I'm working up a load in a 30-06 AI. Using two brands of brass and two brands of primers. One of the primers is consistently running 10 to 12 fps faster and 20 fps more Es in both brands of cases. Single digit ES is usually attainable with all the great components...
Check for carbon buildup in the chamber neck and throat area. You can also see if you have copper and carbon buildup in the barrel. Check the barrel crown for burrs and if you have a brake you can check for fowling and possible bullet strikes. Assuming you bought Teslong Scope, they are money...
The 2 cases above had loose primer pockets and swelled above the belt after FL sizing. If I remember right both loads were crimped. The federal HE were nickel cases. I always trim factory loaded cases .015 to .020 from SAAMI spec to clean and square them up.
