Bino Harness- what are you taking?
AGC KISS: 1) not bulky 2) very easily adjustable for differing weather/clothing 3) found it on sale at Black Ovis for $40-50 less than most of these other harnesses sell for. -
Another One: Kowa vs. Leupold
Ok, looking at a couple of 12x's, here. The Kowa BD 12 x 56mm vs. the Leupold BX-4 Pro Guide in 12 x 50mm. Lots of guys rave about the BX-4s on here. Lots of others rave about Kowa's spotters. What about their Binos? I can get the Kowa's for about $50 cheaper than the Leupolds. I am not... -

I always heard (or prolly read on the interwebs) the rule of thumb was at least 1500 ft-lbs at point of impact. -

MT - backcountry rifle
You maybe right. "Much experience" is relative. I have packed out four elk, all 4-6 miles back, all deboned in the field, all with a buddy. Quite a few guys on here have packed out triple that many (or more). I don't think the question was unreasonable, unless it was against the posting...
