I don't run a lot of ammo through a Chrono, but I will say that I have noticed a difference in accuracy between lots of precision Hunter. I own 2 .308 rifles and one box of precision Hunter I got shot just awful out of both guns.
I would just keep whatever rifle shoots the most accurately. Between those 3 calibers, there isn't much of an advantage out to the distances you want to shoot. Yes, 7mm will be nice and flat. But that really doesn't matter to me as I always range longer shots anyways. It is much more important...
I don't understand the gripe about the trigger on the original x bolt. A 10 dollar spring turns that trigger into something nicer than a stock Tikka trigger (don't get me wrong I like my Tikka better overall).
I have a .308 Browning x bolt hunter that I am having a bit of trouble dialing in. So far I have tried federal powershok 150, federal fusion, and Hornady black ammo. I can't get better than like a 3-4 inch 10 shot group. I have tried different scopes (night force and trijicon), re torqued the...
Agreed. This forum leans towards Tikka more than other forums. But I still think forum surfing is better than taking the advice of your local Cabela's "expert". And if you can read enough you will notice patterns that will help you make your choice. I have read way too many bad things about...
Did you? I can't find the thread. Also, an x bolt is another decent option. I'm left handed and own a Tikka and a Browning. I like my Tikka more but my Browning does the job. Way too many QC issues with Christensen.
What don't you like about Tikka? Are cosmetics your highest priority? That's the only reason I can think of that someone would pick a Christensen. Their guns just suck.
That is what I went with. Works for what I need but seems to be pretty weather dependant. If it's a wet day and the sun never came out, it's pretty fuzzy that night.
Looking for advice on a handheld thermal monocular scanner. I have a box blind overlooking a grassy area. I think it would be fun to sit up there at night and try to spot rodents and shoot them with my .22. I have a NV scope on my gun, so I'm more looking to spot potential targets with a thermal...
