    Best, Available 6.5 CM Ammo

My Tikka Superlite was fairly slow, about 100fps on average from other guns shooting the same load. Hornady 140ELDM has been the most accurate load topping even handloads. I would find three boxes sight in and hunt with it unless you are going for elk.

    Grain free dog food??

Fed our little dogs Grain Free Organix for a couple of years. One has a enlarged heart, not sure if food is the cause. Have been feeding him salmon with regular kibble for two years now which has kept his heart from enlarging anymore. Vet says its the salmon that is helping. Isn't cheap, but...

    V3X 29 or 33 for a 27.5" draw - recommendation?

Did not shoot the 29, but did hold and ogle at a shop. It balanced in my hand better than any bow I've held. It just felt right is the only way to explain. I am short draw guy also so it is added to my list of used bows to look at in a couple of years.

    Need better knee-highs

Lacrosse Aerohead i think in the 3.5mm variety. I can walk in them all day with a good insole. Like walking around in pillows almost. The Grange are the bottom of the barrel and gave me foot problems for several years as that is what my company provided until I started paying for comfort.

    Leofoto SA-324CL+MA-30 or SA-364C+MA-30

I’ve got the 324 after a guy recommended as the budget tripod that was usable. It’s better than I thought it would be. Stable, but light enough to carry in the field. It’s less than four pounds. I was able to keep my groups under 2” at 100 when my normal groups off a bipod and bag with that...

    Neck Sizing

no doubt about what you said. I probably could have put more force on the bolt to get them to chamber, but nothing good comes from that.

    Neck Sizing

Thanks guys. I'm going to FL size. This was more a exercise in gaining some knowledge in what can be messed up with neck sizing. The 243 I experienced the same problem with occasionally was exclusively new Winchester brass fired only in that gun. Definitely operator error somewhere in the...

    Neck Sizing

Tikka Superlite, 6.5CM Cases were one time fired Hornady from the same gun. I doubt it is a chamber issue as the gun is scary accurate with 140ELDM factory ammo. I've has this issue with a 243 years ago that I never put much though into so I'm sure its operator error. I just want to know...

    Neck Sizing

All cases trimmed after 1st firing. Was Hornady factory ammo. One I got to chamber by rotating and retrying to chamber. I'm not someone who is going to crank on the bolt to get it to close.

    Neck Sizing

I'll have to get my should comparator and check those. I know the disadvantages of neck sizing, Just wanted to know if press mount or quality, consistency in press operation, or any other variable could cause it. Figured it would be good if all the cases were from the same rifle.

    Neck Sizing

I know there are mixed reviews about neck sizing. I loaded up ten rounds using neck sized 1x brass to be fired in the same gun they were formed in. Seven of the rounds worked excellent. 3 would not chamber. I don't know what part of the neck sizing cause them to not fit as I am very...

    Chassis Hunting Rigs

XLR Element 3.0-Tikka Superlite 6.5CM. Originally was in a Mesa Altitude stock which is a nice stock. XLR has much better "shootablilty" than standard style stocks probably due to the ability to custom fit to the shooter. Recoil is much more manageable than with other stocks not that the...

Whose purchased a Virginia Elk lottery?

I went in on it. 15 bucks for resident. Would be ecstatic if herds improved so we don't need to go west anymore.

    Bergara Carbon Barrels

Im not trashing your chassis at all. I'm a happy owner of a Element 3.0. I wasn't aware of the big price difference between the regular and the magnesium. Worth every penny if it works for you.

2008 FJ Cruiser - Pull the Trigger?

$runners are great for car seats and also capable off-road. Sky is the limit to what you can do with them. I went from 05' Taco to 13 4Runner to 16 Sequoias. 4R was a great vehicle and would get one again if I tire of the Sequoia. Side note-We had a FJ at work and I hated the visibility...

What do you use for a bow holder?

Never even thought of trying out the Gunbearer. I have one on my pack already. Gonna have to give it a try.

What do you use for a bow holder?

was using the Cabelas bow sling in Montana and bow fell right out of it and careened down the slope for about 50 feet. Miraculously no damage to the bow and was shooting as it as before the fall. Carried my bow the rest of the time except strapped to pack after shooting hours or going through...

    Best Appendix Holster?

Can usually get a OWD and appendix holster BOGO from Bravo Concealment. Both of the holsters are fairly decent quality and can be good tests for trying out a new style of carry.

    Bergara Carbon Barrels

I watched the video on the MG lite. Looked great, but pricing put it in custom range. I haven’t seen any Bergara premium rifles so maybe they are worth the price. I feel like I could get a rifle from Mesa Precision or GAP for around the same price though.

    FPS Question

I run a PSE Evolve at 27" 60LB draw and a 520gr FMJ. It chronoed at 240 also. Its what I took out west a couple of years ago. No shots on elk for the trip. I just set up my Fast Eddie so that 1st pin was at 30 and second was around 40. Anything under 30 would be close enough with that pin...
