1/2 MOA at 100 yard with both Hornady 140 ELD-M’s and 143 ELD-X’s. Couldn’t be happier with this rifle. I’ll throw a Trigger Tech flat pull trigger in it and replace the barrel with a Proof carbon light sendero before next season, but this will easily satisfy my semi custom itch this season.
I was hoping to zero it today, but the weather turned before I got off work. Fingers crossed we don’t get another afternoon thunderstorm tomorrow. I’ll post up an update after I get it to the range.
I had the same dilemma, the only reason I went with the Bergara is because the action is a 700 footprint and makes finding stocks, triggers, bases super easy. I’m extremely happy with the rifle. Can’t wait for my Mathew’s Fab comb riser and my Aadland lens covers to get here. I’ve got a bunch of...
Put this rifle together for Western big game hunting. Pretty happy with how it turned out, just waiting on the Mathew’s Fab cheek riser to show up.

I guess I forgot to make a recommendation…after selling the Savage, I picked up a Bergara B14 Wilderness Hunter in 6.5 Creedmor and couldn’t be happier. Action is smooth and the factory cerakote looks great. With the B14 action being a 700 footprint, you have endless options for stocks, scope...
I bought a Savage 110 with no first hand experience with their rifles. I bought it because of the reputation for out of the box accuracy…it shot incredibly well, like really well, but I sold it less than a month later because of the absolutely terrible bolt lift. Definitely the least smooth...
Update on the Savage:
I won’t argue, the Savage is a shooter for sure, but that heavy bolt lift just makes shooting it not fun and I refuse to completely remove my hand from the stock to cycle the bolt for follow up shots. I sold the rifle last night a complete package for what I had into it...
What is the barrel contour on the rifle in the green bravo? I just ordered a B14 Wilderness Hunter with the #4 contour medium sporter barrel and curious if it’ll look weird in the KRG stock. Yours looks like a #5 and looks great.
1/2 MOA groups with Hornady Precision Hunter 178 ELD-X’s. I honestly couldn’t be happier with a factory barreled action. I’m stoked to get my Origin and build that rifle, but I’m certainly not disappointed that I built this up first to get me back into the game after years away from hunting/long...
Added SWFA rings and level, torqued everything to spec including action screws and used a little blue loctite for added confidence in the whole system.
All in with the scope, I’m at $980 for a sub MOA hunting rifle that I feel confident with out to 600 yards. 40 rounds down range so far with...
That great to hear! I was a little hesitant to buy the rifle at first, but figured with the price point and the fact that it checked all the boxes for what I was looking for, it was worth taking a chance. Now that I have it all set-up, I’m happy I did and more impressed than I thought I would...
Got the new stock installed, HUGE improvement over the floppy Hogue stock. The Magpul stock is rigid and the barrel is completely free floated now. The Magpul AICS mag has zero issues seating in place and the feeding/ejection is reliable. I also installed the factory Savage tactical bolt handle...
Picked up my rifle and got it mounted up with a SWFA 10x42 that I had. There are certainly a lot of mixed feelings out there on the Savage rifles, but I’m actually pretty impressed for a $513 suppressor ready rifle. The hogue stock isn’t great, but I have a OD green Magpul Hunter stock that’ll...
I just ordered a Savage 110 Trail Hunter in 308 Win. Anyone here have one of these or seen one in person? I live in a small town and unfortunately am not able to put my hands on many rifles. There are a few reasons I decided on this rifle, despite not owning any savage firearms previously.
