The OP simply asked what type of belt we would recommend. Lots are giving their recommendations. I don't think anyone but myself and my wife know who made my belt, so no real advertising, or showing who I'm loyal too going on, just saw a belt I wanted, paid for it, forgot I paid for it, and...
What got me started towards this diet, besides having a doctor who could think for himself, and outside the box....and the diet clearing up a plethora of health problems for my wife, was a book called "Wheat Belly". There is also a "Wheat Belly" cookbook. These books aren't centered around the...
The Kifaru belt is actually pretty reasonably priced compared to other makers web belts, especially among the premium brands. Web belts allow for micro-adjustments under the weight of a pack so while they may not be mission critical, they are extremely useful.
I've been using the Trizip feature for years on 3 different Mystery Ranch packs. It took some getting used to, but eventually I did get used to it. That said, I really like the vertical zipper on the 14'r more. I feel like I can lay the pack down and throw open that zipper and it pretty much...
Sure you could. But what's the fun in that? I've got a couple of leather belts that would have been just as easy to make, but I chose to buy them instead. I bought the belt from Kifaru with an order just because I like that sexy logo and want to support the company. It was also very...
I'm looking forward to the responses to this as well. I have no EXO experience but I have a 14'r that I love, and have run a MR similar to the Pintler on a NICE Frame with an overload shelf. With the new Guide Lite Frame you may be able to get the lift you need, and the MR packs are definitely...
I didn't vote based on either, and I definitely don't vote for parties. This time around I voted against a party and things did work out in my favor. I hunt with guns on public land and I cherish both and have a sneaking suspicion they will both be there for generations to come.
I've got the new Kifaru belt. This is only my second web belt, after the one that I was issued, but I really like it. There's nothing really special about it. I think compared to a lot of what's out there, the Kifaru belt is very "basic", for lack of a better term. I like all things Kifaru...
Yeah, but that seems to be the norm throughout the entire state, and those surrounding it.
I actually like Buena Vista, but don't know much about the demographics. I know Eddyline has a kick-ass IPA called Crankyankers. I also do a lot of hiking just west of there in some of the biggest...
I could most surely be wrong but I thought I just watched a video of them talking about the new Spear packs and them using an updated version of the NICE frame in them.
I come here to learn from other's experiences as far as tactics and gear, and I like to give whatever insight I can if someone has a question or experience that I share but I would never ask where to hunt or even hint to where I'm hunting.
You're right about warranties. Some of the best companies only have a "manufacturer's defect" warranty, which is fine. If something happens to a pack after a couple years of abuse it's most likely not a manufacture's defect anyway. I don't get too sold on the "no questions guarantee's" like...
I just sold my NICE Frame but if I were in the market for one of their bags and I already had a frame I would try cornering them on the phone. Kinda hard to justify paying another $300 for a frame you already have.
There have been some limited run Optifade offerings from Mystery Ranch in the last few years. For a while I was beginning to wonder if there was an affiliation starting between the two companies, but seems like lately Mystery Ranch is very preoccupied with their military offerings. There is a...
If you do decide to drink the Kool Aid, you ain't gonna be able to drink just one glass. It's kinda like those Natural White Cheddar Cheetos....I dare you not to like em'!
I think it would be a good idea to look at some of the newer offerings such as the Reconing and the Woodsman. These packs are basically the product of years of customer feedback, as all Kifaru offerings are , based off of the most used and popular models. The same goes for the newer internal...
