I really hate high riding base layers and all the stuff I have looked at seems to have a 32" or 33" inseam I wear a 36". Anyone found some that come in a tall?

Thanks

Heck, it's hard enough to find regular merino base bottoms in a real Tall, let alone zipoffs. But I leave my base bottoms on 24/7 on a hunt, so haven't really looked for zipoffs. I don't really need a base layer that goes all the way to my ankles, but I really hate the tight cuffs around my calves instead of the lower leg where they belong.

True I don't need them that long either just really bothers me when they are on my calves. What merino non zip offs have you found for taller guys?

While not a true 36" inseam SKRE Gear has had plenty of length for me

I bought a pair of Kuiu zip off. Im 6’2” 190 and when I got them and tried them on I put them back in the mail that day. They looked like baggy bloomers on me. I own a lot of Kuiu but I wouldn’t take them for free.

Good luck. 6’3”. 34 inch inseam. Own kuiu zip offs. I honestly think they are made short so they are above your boots to make them easier to zip off. Mine come down to the top or mid calf. I wear tall boots and usually longer calf socks in winter so it works for me.

Minus 33

My first merino Talls were Cabela's brand that I bought back in 2006 I think. They lasted for years, but the holes became so big they became worthless at soaking up my sweat. Then tried the First Lite regulars that are tight around the thickest part of my calves. And then Minus 33 finally started making Talls and they fit great. I wear 38" inseam jeans and dress pants.

Not merino related, but Gulch Gear makes their pants in 38" inseams. In case you hadn't seen those.

My first lite kiln bottoms are honesty way too long for me but I’m a 32. I can pull them down just about over my foot. Have you tried those?

First Lite Kiln Zip offs (full length) will be down to your ankles. I'm 6'4" and they are full length on me.
I tried the Kuius for a year or two and hated the length and they'd just ride up behind my knee and bunch.

The kilns have honestly been one of my best purchases in clothing in a long time that wasn't a let down or disappointment and I always enjoy using. They're great and convenient. Plus the length I wanted.

I also have a pair of size talls cabelas polartec bottoms that I've used for 10+ years, but they aren't zip offs. They are plenty long down to the ankles though. If I'm active and know weather will swing I only use the first lites so i can take them on and off.

My pant size is 33x36 fyi.

I'm 6'11" (yes, not a mis-type) 270 lb and 37" inseam. Minus 33 is what I go with for tall merino tops and bottom. No zip-off, not sure that matters for a base layer, but great quality. XLT is what I go with.

I have a 34-36 inseam just depends on brand. I just buy OTC socks to go over the calf and hill the gap

This^^^^^^^^. I'm 6 00 and the mediums are way long on me. The zippers aren't noticeable at all.

I am 6'6 and wear a 36in inseam. I gave up on full length base layers and went with the Stone Glacier Helio bottom and honestly, I am not looking back. I like the top of the boot length much better than I expected and the full length zipper, although no zip-off, allows me to dump heat without have to play twister in the woods, trying to get a pair of zip-offs on.
