ZeroTech TRACE ADV 3-18×44 FFP Shoot2Hunt

I know that I’m in the minority, but I’ve been leaning towards the Monstrum scope caps. The rubber will split on them, but that is easily fixed/prevented by a few wraps of electrical tape. They are not as intuitive/efficient as the “both thumbs forward” on the Butler Creeks, but they are far more durable with the tape than the newest BC iteration. With just a little range time, the “caps away from the scope” opening becomes nearly as fast as the BCs.
They don’t stay closed particularly well

I’m enjoying the discussion on scope covers. Should we move it here and leave the guys alone who are only here for the S2H scope?

Which ones have you tested and where do they split/do you apply the electrical tape?

It is my current pick for scope caps (with the tape preventative) even given their flaws. Once the ZTs arrive, the ODs of both the ocular and objective bells can be measured to determine the correct sizes of Monstrums.

Some of the zero techs have the screw threads to put a leopold style/tenebrax cap on. I wonder if the s2h scope has these threads.IMG_8354.png
