Isn't that already a thing?

It's been headed that way since last year, for sure. But I think it's easy to think of rokslide as the masses when we are probably on the leading edge. Tons of people just got their first suppressor this year and it's a one-size-fits-all 30 cal can.

But also, I don't see a ton of cartridge specific cans yet. A lot of caliber specific stuff, but I'm talking 308 win specific, or 7-08 specific vs 30 cal and 7mm.

Good point on optimizing for specific cartridges and even muzzle devices. CAT has been doing cool stuff here. Maybe not as intricate of an effort on a bolt gun (?) but could be neat. I also don’t know enough to say if it has a huge effect but the idea seems pretty cool.


Edit: Imagine you tell a company about your rifle, cartridge, and design constraints, and they 3D print you an optimized can. Almost like BRT tubes

idk man, that Ammo came out of the same boxes as mine did, and we trued mine at 2730fps...

I do disagree that it sounded like subs. I agree that it was noticeably quieter than everything else on the line.
Standing off to the side, I could hear the firing pin fall among the other sounds that compose a shot, but it definitely wasn't the only or the loudest sound you'd hear.
As the shooter though I'd say the firing pin was probably the most prominent sound.

That gun was my favorite from the course and seems like it's more than the sum of it's parts.

Yes, these were handloaded subs, not the factory stuff. Factory stuff was quiet too. I can't remember all what was shot through it but it sort of made me want to skip the 6-S and go right to the OG22, especially for a .223/22CM.

Note to self: when using a 77gr bullet with Trailboss, the max load for 55gr bullets isn’t high enough.
