i have been impressed with my zen rays, however, i broke them a couple months ago, (tripod stud and tripod tipped over and now they flop around) contacted them and they replied a week later saying they could exchange them for a newer version and gave me a discount on the price, (+$130)which was also reasonable, however i have emailed them a few times since to see how to proceed and have had no response, i think i will take my business elsewhere...

just letting people know...

Seems to be a fairly common issue. I picked up the ED4s. They are great, but trying to get someone to respond to messages/phone calls is nearly impossible.
It seems like the best way to get contact is to literally call over and over.

well they got back to me after the last email i sent in yesterday, maybe they are just understaffed, not sure, but i will do the exchange and be done with them. unless something drastically changes in peoples experiences. they have been good when they respond just slow to do so...

Father in law has sent his prime HDs in twice over the last couple years and his experience was that while they were eventually replaced, communication was slow and poor. This was not my experience when I bought my summit HDs 5 years ago when communication was great for me. It's a shame since the glass is so good but the construction is generally quite flimsy on them and the company is hard to deal with for warranty. Hopefully they turn things around.

ya
i have had the ed3 for several years now maybe 5, always been great, it was my fault, i tipped over the tripod with bino's on it, broke the stud so the bino's just flop around now, still work perfect, but cannot be used on a tripod and very loose when holding, they said they could not repair, but could replace. which was great, but just very slow to get it going... sporadic, but they are taking care of me now.

I liked my ED3 for the tier of glass when I got them some years back. I busted the housing loop on mine after a few years. They offered me an upgrade at a cost but I declined and just sent mine in normal repair. They sent me the Prime's back but they didn't fit my eyes so I sold those off. I had no real complaints on the quality for the money but was developing concerns on the longevity of the company so I'm not disappointed to be into other brands now.
