Anyone compare these two scopes? I have the Z3 on another rifle. Looking at the Z4 for a different rifle. I'm looking at either the Swaro 4-12x50 with ballistic turret or the Z4 4-16x40 with turret.

For dialing, the Zeiss.

No experience with the Zeiss, but I do have experience with the Z3 and would not recommend it for dialing. Glass is fantastic though.

If you have the opportunity to look through both, you'll find the resolution and contrast to be noticeably better in the Swarovski.

The z3 is a very nice scope but I wouldnt choose one for dialing, the 4-12 z3 seems like the bastard child of the swarovski family.

The v4 is ok, you can get demo v4s for pretty good prices from redhawk rifles.

Resolution is great and all, but if the scope doesn't do what it's supposed to do consistently then it's a worthless metric. I had a Z5 that was the most inconsistent dialing scope I've ever owned. The x5 series from Swaro is exponentially better at dialing. The Z series is better for those who never intend to touch the turrets. Return to zero and tracking are sub par. At that point clear glass is irrelevant.
