If you can afford them, the SF is the way to go. Superior in virtually every way to the HDX and FL. If directly comparing the HDX to the FL - for image quality it really depends on what will appeal to you as they are both very good. Since I’ve always enjoyed the richness of the image from AK prisms, so I lean toward the FL. For durability it is very difficult to match the indestructibility of the FLs. Some folks don’t like the feel of their composite frame but it is very strong and not cold to the touch in winter. The new HDX is also a fine binoculars and often underrated, but they are a redesign with no way to predict their durability. It is a tough call, but I’d recommend putting one’s hands on the FLs prior to buying. I personally own two different FLs, a Conquest HD, and Victory SFs. The HTs are also very bright and crisp - very sharp in the sweet spot. But they are a bit heavy for their size, with a moderate FOV and no field flatteners.
