I currently have a Core Lightweight, I like it enough, keeps me cool, has a good hood (I like Sitka hoods), has annoying that ultra annoying face mask. But I have been looking at the Yuma- no annoying face mask, looks damn good in walnut and has a seemingly much larger chest zipper which would be nice to let the air flow.

Who has had both and what one did you end up keeping?

Cheers

You will not miss the Core Lightweight once you spend a day in the Yuma. The chest zipper is the killer feature. It is the most versatile sun hoodie Sitka makes because that venting capability is so effective. I kept the Yuma, wore it all last season, and it's the first thing I pack for every late-summer scouting trip and early-season hunt.

The core lightweight is my favorite of all time. And I don’t understand the comment about the deep chest vent - the core lightweight has that.

The only knock on the core lightweight is durability. It eventually gets holes and pulls because the fabric is so perforated.

I have the yuma, it’s similar, but does not breathe as well.

Yuma arrived today.

Initial impressions- zip is probably 25% deeper than the Core Lightweight- which is nice.
Thumbholes feel more robust than the Core Lightweight- but they are just slits in the fabric.
Hood is much worse (for me) than the Core Lightweights- although I am very partial to the Sitka hoods.
Nice to not have that face mask at the back of your neck being a pain.
Less shiny than the Core Lightweight.

All in all for initial impressions I think with some tinkering with the hood I'll really enjoy the piece. Going on a 10 day chamois and stag hunt next week so will put it to the test then.
