Well I definitely dont have time to write a story about every moose I ever hunted or guided but here are some pics and maybe a short note on each.
I shot my first moose in 1979 when I was 11. My brother on the left, Im the little guy on the right…..a 59 incher to boot.
Only shot I had was his head, you can see where I hit him. We had to shoot him 7 more times at close range before he stopped getting up.
My nephew Anthony who is shown in my sheep thread came on a special guide hunt with me when he was about 17. I had my bow and feel I could have gotten this one with it but i let him shoot it with his grandpas rifle instead …nice heavy 55 inch bull.
Although not the biggest I think this is the coolest moose I ever guided.
Don Seay who got the cave bear was skunked on moose that year but came back the following year and got this nice 60 incher.
