Long story short.....I shot these bullets years ago. Went on to 290 Barnes and now a bullet to bore smokeless conversion. I worked up a load in my original muz. A TC Omega w 60 gr of blackhorn and the 250 gr shockwave for my now 9 yr old but he started shooting this at 7. He's 3 for 3 on bucks with the setup....we are 120 and in primarily sub 100.....and none have made it past 50 yds or so w a well placed shot. Just curious bow that I'm finding these are discontinued. What would be a good bullet alternative at 250 gr. That is going to perform at that Iower velocity? Have not shot through a crono so don't know what actual velocity is........thanks for any input......

A good alternative would be the Boredriver.
I have 50 or so I’d trade you for box of factory centerfire ammo.

Thanks they look like a good bullet. Trying to keep the weight down around 250 to keep the recoil down a bit for kids....

The Shockwaves are still pretty easy to find if you look around - especially at small shops.

That said, there are any number of bullets that will perform the same/similarly. The 250 SST is the same bullet with a different colored polymer tip.

The 250 gr XTP is also a good substitute.

These though not polymer tip do a great jobs expanding;

also these;

More depends on the Sabot and how tight it is to the ML Bores sizing so can be loose while others tight.
Several i the 250 Range Weight.
T/C coming is to offer the "Shockwaves again but some say some of the others are same just made for T/C Arms I think the Hornady SST are here is 2 versions 1 has a "Speed" Loader for when using "POwder Pellets. I only use losse powder so know what you are buying there is a piece that sticks out of thesabot to slide the pellets on to.
