1. Sitka Dakota pants (under bibs or breathable waders)
2. Sitka fanatic hoody. Great lightweight midlayer
3. Danner sharptail upland boots.

1. Tricer panhead - Yes, it can't handle some giant optics well, but for 99% of my house it was awesome and shave damn near a pound off my tripod.

2. Cinnamon bears - I have gotten pretty bad with how little good I eat. These have been awesome to keep a small bag in my Waistbelt to eat periodically while putting in serious hiking

3. La Sportiva Aquelibrium LT - Now, I've only had these a couple weeks but they fit like a damn glove and are almost 1.5 lbs lighter than my Scarpa Kinesis GTX per pair, huge difference.

SG Grumman. Light, packable, and warm.
Garmin Xero. So simple.

1.) Swaro EL Rangę, man these things are nice.

2.) Pyro putty winter formula. Clutch for inside my TI stove when the temps dropped out int he high country.

3.) KUIU Katana (jacket mostly). I didnt run into much for rain. But during high winds in WY with low temps I could still comfortably hunt. Cuts the wind real well.

2024 was not big new gear year for me. Some replacements. Some new stuff that doesn't stand out.

1. Swarovski EL 8.5x42 - I finally got my hands on these. They seem to hit a sweet spot for ergonomics, exit pupil, eye relief, twilight factor, depth of field, etc, etc, for my eyes. Amazing whitetail glass for me.
2. TBD
3. TBD

My take away from this thread so far is I'd like to test the Sig Zulus and an "inverted" tripod.

The only two things that come to mind in 2024 are:
  1. Seek Outside DST, silpoly version. It's an absolute palace for one person and gear.
  2. Flextail 2X Pump - So convenient for inflating your sleeping pad. The added lantern feature gives enough light to your tent so you don't have to use your headlamp.
I have some gear I picked up through the year that never had the right conditions to use. Hopefully these pieces see more use in 2025.

1. Sig Sauer ZULU6 HDX Image Stabilizing Binoculars
Believe the hype! You won't believe how good they are unless you try them yourself. I was glassing hillsides with them sitting in the backseat of a truck bouncing down gravel roads.

2. KUIU Gila LS Hoodie (Sun Shirt)
This shirt kept me from frying to crisp in Texas last summer. I had the regular version and the Pro version and prefer the regular version. Lightweight and comfortable sun protection.

3. KUIU Ultra Merino 145 Zip-T Hunting Hoodie
This is probably my favorite piece of clothing. Lightweight, comfortable merino that works great both as a layer while hunting and while out around town or lounging at home.

Honorable Mention: Marsupial Gear Bottom Mount Holster
Easily attaches to the bottom of any bino holders that have Molle Webbing. I had to use this Eberlestock Molle Panel as an adaptor to use this with my KUIU Pro Bino Holder.
