The more I look at these 7600 I want to get one. They are well liked by most of the trackers in the NE and I am wanting to do more of that style hunting in WI. To me Remington from back in the day had some of the most reliable firearms for hunting. An 870 and 7600 could cover about everything.
Everyone in my family has one. We have killed a LOT of game with them. They will go down in time as one of the most popular big game guns in the northeast. My dad's is in cherry condition, and it is 55 years old. Still as accurate as the day he bought it.
I know it seems strange to say, but I feel "safe" when I carry mine. Like I'm untouchable. The amount of serious firepower that I can throw down range in a hurry and accurately is pretty impressive. I know those hogs that came by me in the Chattahoochee NF a few years back wished I had been holding a single shot or a bolt action.... lol
