Good morning

I know this has been pounded to shreds…forgive me for bringing up the topic again…

Trying to look at my gear and make a decision to change course in the off season

With the new Revic or the advanced Sig 8kilo …do you use the ballistic info or still rely on a dope chart and a nice Rangefinder …

What’s your strategy during hunting situations

Geovids have been in hand for about a week. I'm really excited about them from what I can see, but don't have any real hunting use on them yet. It's certainly way better glass than my Nikons.
I will try to post occasionally as I get some actual use with them.

The Gunwerks Revic BR4 is proving to be awesome. I used it all season ans it is pretty darn amazing.

Broz.. I trust your info very much. Over the years you’ve helped me just by reading your thoughts

I have a wildcat 338 edge.. you think it would work using G7 BC…

Yes, I ran it with my 338 Terminator and we smoked several elk with it.

Broz..
With your permission, may I PM you about a few questions regarding your approach?

Any help would graciously be appreciated with these wildcat rounds

I used the Revic BR4 all year. It was legit.

I switched from Zeiss 10x42 RF’s to 12x42 NL pures + BR4. No regrets so far.

I suggest the sig Kilo 3000, I find it much more efficient to rangefinder binoculars. Combining the two allows glassing with ranging. I would always have a reticle ranging back up cheat sheet. Sometimes with snow or rain, rangefinders just don't work.

I still carry my Leica HD-Bs. I program the ballistic profile into the binos but still have a dope chart on my rifle. I will carry a small handheld rangefinder when bowhunting. I think I have a Vortex Ranger 1500 right now.

I will have a hard time ever going away from a rangefinder binocular after using one. Especially one with the glass quality of these Leica's. Not sure your budget but I had vortex fury's before these and for the price those were great too.

Vortex Fury 5000 HD. Wish I had the AB version, but money is a thing unfortunately and I already had the regular Fury before the AB came out.

Like others said, when you see an animal that’s giving you a shot opportunity the clock starts, and you don’t necessarily know when the clock will end, but it will end… usually sooner rather than later. The less steps in the spot to shoot timeframe the better.

Personally I’d never rifle hunt with binos that don’t have an integrated rangefinder. On board ballistics calculator is also the wave of the future.

Kilo2400ABS been using it for several different calibers for past 3-4 years no problem at all. If needing to range farther the new kilo line looks great.

Tryin to decide if I want to take the leap and run a range finder, ballistic bino unit.
