My first shoulder mount and first buck I ever shot. He had busted up both his split brow tines. His cape was also all damaged from fighting and crossing fence lines. Definitely a fighter. I was 13 and got him mounted because I said “I will never shoot a bigger one than that”
Little did I know, I would end up shooting a bigger one when I was 16 hahaha. I was blessed with a lot of opportunities at big deer at a young age. But I always think back to the stories of hunting with my family when I look at the mounts.
