Your favorite Elk pack

The Seek Outside packs are comfy and light weight. Modular frame design can go from 24", to 26", to 28" by easily adding extensions. Lots of options for fixed bag style, vs removable bag with load shelf (as shown above - the Evolution frame and compression talon works awesome for packing quarters).

EXO for me all the way. Had Kuiu and didn't ever get to liking it no matter how much I tried. I have the EXO K2 3500 and don't think I'll ever give it up.
Thanks!! When I look at the EXO site - they only have the K3....... K2 not available any longer?

I started with the original exo 3500. I liked until you put in over 40.lbs. I’m a taller guy 6’4”. The 24” frame was the issue. Bought a Kuiu and sold it after one scouting trip. Bought a Kifaru with a reckoning bag and loved it! Great meat, heavy load hauler. Only down side is it’s a heavy set up. Since I seemed to classified in the ”older hunter crowd” at 57 every ounce counts.
Back to exo with the k3 spider frame and 4800 bag. So far it’s awesome!
Ive had up to 80.lbs in it and extremely comfortable.
Hope that helps.
Mark

that looks like a really comfortable pack. I wish there were more distributors around me, I am just nervous throwing down the cash without seeing how they fit me.... seems seek packs are a sleeper. that weight looks like it rides really well

It also happens to be my favorite caribou pack. The waterproof X-pack fabric is a nice feature in the mountains, but a little noisier in the timber.

I hear you on the distributors...being in northern BC there isn't much access to the high end packs. I can't compare to Stone Glacier, Kifaru, Exo, ect cause I've never had the chance to try one on. Gambled on SO sice it had a 28" frame height and I'm 6'4".

Seek Revolution. Elk 2018, dall sheep and grizz 2017. The final pack out on the sheep/bear hunt was 132lbs according to the scale at the air transporter. The grey lid is an MR lid that I modded to work with the SEEK. They didn't have a lid at the time.

is there a good way to mount a pistol holster to the waist belt?

I have an Eberlestock Just One pack and I love its versatility. But the most important thing about pack selection other than capacity is how well it fits. I would suggest you try some on, make the needed adjustments and if possible add weight. Eberlestock has an excellent video on adjusting a pack for proper fit.
