Yet Another Magnum vs. Small Bore Cartridge Conundrum

I’m sold, I just pinched my $100k collection in the dumbest and purchased a CVA Scout 22 Arc. With the killing capability’s of this cartridge a single shot is all you need, just point and shoot the internal damage is catastrophic. Once the word gets out about this amazing cartridge I figure most of the rifle and ammo manufacturers will be out of business. Going to be a sad day in America.
I will now continue watching an episode of South Park it’s almost as entertaining.

You know man, for a guy who thinks 200 rounds out of a rifle during a range session is "a waste", you sure do talk a lot of $h*t to a half-dozen guys here giving you good advice who think of that as a warmup.

I didn’t say it was a waste, I said it was expensive. I have a range at my house so I don’t feel the need to shoot 200 rds in one day. Now if I had to drive a good ways to a range I would probably have a different perspective on the 200 rds, I only shoot 40 rounds at most during competitive matches. What exactly is the good advice the half-dozen is giving? Their beliefs ? What about the other half-dozen that think differently guess their beliefs are wrong? and yours is right? Starting to sound like a bunch of politicians. As me and The Guide come to terms on, you shoot what makes you happy, I’ll shoot what makes me happy.
If what the half dozen are preaching is true, I would assume you only own and hunt with a .224 cartridges that shoot heavy bullets. If not that would be pretty hypocritical of you.
I thought this thread was done. Please kill it catastrophically with a 22 Arc 77 ELD-M
Food for Thought:
You have a significantly higher chance of getting struck by lightning than being attacked by a grizzly bear. On a national average, your odds of being struck by lightning are roughly 1 in 500,000, while your lifetime odds of being attacked by a bear are about 1 in 2.1 million. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I don’t desire or have the funds to waste shooting ether 200 rounds in one day.

^See your quote.

What exactly is the good advice the half-dozen is giving? Their beliefs ?

It's the advice of tremendous volumes of real-world experience, based on their accumulated lifetimes of knowledge and practice - not just a matter of "belief", opinion, preference, style, vibe, fad, or whatever other BS it is you seem to think is putting your opinion on equal footing here.

Because it's not.

If in any way you consider 200rds of range time a "waste", your opinion is just lacking. The most generous interpretation is that you just simply have no clue what you - or even we - are talking about here. No reference, and no way to understand. Guys here that are sharing this info have 5 gallon buckets of spent brass in cartridges from magnum all the way down to .223 in rifle lessons and experience, and you're acting like a teenager who thinks his opinions on life are as informed as his grandfather's.

People have tried sharing info politely, then some with a bit more aggression in response to your obtuseness in neither listening nor learning. A mod even suggested we just stop trying and to move on. "You do you" isn't "hey, we both have valid opinions." It's best translated as "I'm tired of trying to talk sense into a melon, bye."

So, you do you, bud.
