I put together an X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR in 7mm PRC. I don't have access to a chrono, and I don't really want to purchase one for what would be very limited use. However, a poster on here @House21 posted some time ago with the same gun using the same ammo (Federal 175 ELD-X) averaging 2780fps. Would it be safe to assume that my gun would be in same ballpark speed wise?

No - I’d rent or borrow one. Identical guns with identical ammo can vary significantly. Every barrel is different.

Where you located, may be a fellow Rokslide close by that can loan you a chrono.

This is an opinion so treat it as such. It depends on how far you are planning to shoot. If you are staying within 400 yards and have a 200 yard zero, I would bet you will be fine. If you are planning to shoot much further, I would chrono.

Velocity varies from rifle to rifle. Velocity varies within the same rifle over its lifetime due to barrels breaking in and then wearing out, also. It’s definitely worth renting or borrowing one to know what's happening with your rifle if you want to shoot at long distances.

Another option is to use a ballistics calculator to estimate velocity using LONG range drop rate, long meaning 800 yards or more. Be sure to adjust all of your environments and use a trusted BC for your bullet.
