Got my X-bolt 2 Speed SPR in 7mm PRC all set yesterday and took it to the local range today to zero the scope.
Browning LA 20 MOA rail
Vortex precision matched rings
Vortex Razor LHT 3x15 MOA
Federal ammo w/ ELD-X factory loads
Shooting off a bench (would prefer prone but indoor range doesn't have that option).
My Omega 300 is still in jail, so didn't get to shoot with that.
I turned the trigger down as much as I could. Still a little stiffer than what I would like, and will probably adjust the spring or replace it all sometime in the future, but not terrible. Recoil was less than I anticipated with the rifle and scope being pretty lightweight.
Boresighted at 50, then shot a round and made some adjustments. Shot again and the scope tracked well from the adjustments that I had made. Put it at 100yds and shot a 3 shot group that right outside 1 MOA. Made some more adjustments and shot again, then let the barrel cool for about 5 minutes. Shot once more (the shot by itself NE of the group) and didn't quite feel comfortable with the tripod I was using, so I switched to bags and shot the following 3 shot group all touching each other.
Pretty impressed so far. I don't have a chrono to check the speed, but found a thread from a user saying he was getting an average of 2780fps from the same gun/same ammo, so I would think it would be fairly close.
