Wyoming wilderness

Guides can be any resident who possesses a big game tag. One resident can take up to two non residents.

Whats really goofy is you can hike, fish, hunt small game as a NR in wilderness areas just no big game! But im sure there are plenty of other great areas to hunt that are not wilderness. I will be going in 2017 for either deer or elk or both. It really doesnt bother me i guess.

All the animals are in Montana and Colorado anyway. You don't want to hunt Wyoming.

I'm from CA, being located this close to Mexico means we are intimately familiar with dealing with the Chupacabra. I've taken several myself. Does that give me a pass on the rule?

Just a 250 fine.i guess I'll roll the dice. I've bivied for 15 yrs and never had a problem. I've hunted for 25 yrs and have never have even talked to a warden other than seeking him out. I'm tired of govnment over stepping there a authority. The Bears debate is not warranted. A few ignorant people should ruin it for every body.

Does is qualify as a fish and game/poaching violation? If so, will it effect your ability to get future tags in Wyoming or other states?

I don't know...I am just curious...I'm a resident, so I get to go where I want.

Moan and complain away, until people stop paying the outfitters to hold their hands and tell them when to shoot, the dollars will keep the Wyoming outfitters association at the top of heap stopping any rule changes down in Cheyenne. When I draw a Wyoming tag and receive numerous letters/ outfitters association advertising magazine etc. , rest assured there is plenty of money saying no one is interested in that state about changing the rules so a few non residents can have a higher quality experience, they limited tags many years ago because they don't want you hunting their game, they just want your dollars as a hunter tourist.

Same concept in AK for mountain goat, sheep, and brown bears. Seems strange that I lived there for five years and had my share of fun on my own. Move away and now I have to have someone hold my hand to go back.

Looks like the "anonymous" tip line is in order. lol

Having worked for 10 years as a "non-resident professional guide" in Wyoming, even though I was licensed to guide, I could not hunt without another guide going with me. I worked out of a base camp that was 30 miles from the nearest road and twice in those years, after my hunter had shot an elk, I had a Fish Cop get to us and ask for licenses before I had begun to gut the elk!

Yeah, why even get a tag?

The only thing in Wyoming is antelope. And they aren't really on wilderness and they are way bigger in AZ and NM. No point in even coming here
