First post here after lurking for a while. I am from the east coast and grew up hunting deer. Have gone on several trips out west, but never to hunt. Finally decided to just get a left over tag and trying to learn as much as I can. I drew a cow calf tag for unit 7. Planning to go out right before rifle opens to scout and then begin hunting opening day. I have spent countless hours researching, e-scouting, and making sure I am in great shape. I know unit 7 is difficult for many reasons, but I am going to try to make the most out of it. Unfortunately I did not get drawn for any of the HMAs so I will be hunting the Laramie Range.
