If I draw a general tag (Gohunt shows 52 results) can you technically hunt all 52 units? Or do you have to apply for a certain unit?

Live in Idaho and trying to expand our elk hunting experiences. Only have 1 point but looks like a 14% chance at a general unit.

You can hunt ALL/ANY Gen areas with a General Tag

P.S. Wyoming has 'Areas' not Units ;)

If you have a gen tag you can hunt hunt any and all units with an open general season. The dates, sex, branch antlered bull etc vary by unit.

Also that license is good for both archery and rifle season. Gotta love Wyoming!

True but just remember that you must have an archery stamp (purchased separately) and some units also require a "special feedground permit" (which is actually quite a lot of units). I was getting my tag/lic checked by a warden this past year as was another hunter at the trailhead. The other hunter had his lic/stamp but no feedground permit...got a pretty decent citation.
